Sporting over 30 years of acting experience, Andrew Francis is a Canadian voice actor, best known within our community for his role as the voice of Twilight Sparkle’s BBBFF, Shining Armor. Starting in Season 2, Francis joined the crew to the very end of Friendship is Magic as our knight in… well, you get the idea!
Our dorky and nerdy guard horse is far from the only character that Francis has breathed life into, however! Starting at the age of 9 and growing every year onward, he has acted in dozens of movies and television series, and given his voice to many characters over that time.
Odds are that at least one of your favourite childhood series features him! Some of his most famous roles include Gil, the skateboarding neighbour from Johnny Test, the titular character Max McGrath in Max Steel, and Cole in Ninjago and Ninjago: Dragons Rising, alongside many other side characters in each of these!
Next to Western animation, Francis is no stranger to anime either! He also lent his voice to the dub of MegaMan: NT Warrior, as well as Dende in the Dragon Ball Z series.
